Since 2018, the Duhme-Spilker couple have been transforming a former shepherd's farm in Speckenermoor into a natural garden with great emphasis on diversity. 13,000 square meters with a natural pond and old trees are open in the surrounding grassland and are gradually being changed. So far, a meadow orchard, a flowering meadow that takes account of the soil conditions, raised beds for vegetables, a berry bed and various themed perennial beds have been created.
It is supplemented by a mobile chicken coop and a former concrete surface of an old manure pit, which has now become a sun deck. An aquaculture system (circulation system in a basin) for a crayfish breeding facility has now been built in an old stable. The facility can also be visited. Further ponds for crabs are in the planning stage. Guided tours are possible on request.
